NOVA+ · The AI Continuity Layer for Education

The morning after a student misses three days,
NOVA+ has already prepared their catch-up.

NOVA+ is the connective layer between the systems your district already owns. It reads your SIS, works inside your LMS, and logs every session automatically — triggering catch-up lessons, IDEA-compliant accommodation records, and ESSA interventions for the students every other platform leaves behind.

Built by a Michigan classroom teacher for Michigan students.

"Every student returning from an absence faces the same moment of integration. NOVA+ gives teachers a clear starting point and students a structured path back — built specifically for the transition no other platform addresses." — Jason Raddatz, Alternative Education Teacher & Founder
The Platform

Three tools. One connective layer.

NOVA+ sits between the systems your district already owns — your SIS (PowerSchool, Infinite Campus) and your LMS (Canvas, Schoology). No replacement required.

📊

NOVA+ Administer

Enrollment intelligence, scheduling, and early-warning system — surfaces attendance patterns, flags at-risk students, and gives administrators the full operational picture.

From absence to re-entry — automatically

1

Student goes absent

NOVA+ reads the attendance event from your SIS and responds to the absence itself — not just the return.

2

NOVA+ builds the catch-up

NOVA+ Teach + Learn generate a personalized catch-up lesson from the teacher's own notes — ready by the next morning, no teacher action required.

3

Every IEP logged

NOVA+ Access records accommodation delivery session by session — audit-ready IDEA documentation with no extra steps for staff.

4

The student stays on your rolls

Re-engaged instead of dropped — the student keeps moving toward graduation, and the district keeps the per-pupil revenue that walks out the door with every disenrollment.

Who NOVA+ Serves

Built for the people the absence hits hardest

Classroom Teacher
2–3 hrs/wk

spent rebuilding lessons for absent students. NOVA+ automates it — the catch-up is built from the teacher's own notes.

Student
30–40%

smaller achievement gap with personalized learning (NEPC). Every returning student gets a structured path back to mastery.

SPED Coordinator
5 hrs/wk

spent on IEP/504 paperwork (ERIC). NOVA+ logs accommodation delivery automatically — session by session, audit-ready.

What That Moment Costs

When a student doesn't come back, it hits every ledger.

Michigan, 2023–24: about 3 in 4 chronically absent students are economically disadvantaged. NOVA+ starts here — with Michigan's alternative education programs — and grows through the region.

413,000
Michigan students chronically absent — 29.5% of ~1.4M K-12 students (MDE, 2023–24)
311,000
of them economically disadvantaged — 40.1% of Michigan's economically disadvantaged students
$10,050
per-pupil revenue lost every time a student drops off the rolls
IDEA
audit exposure when accommodation delivery goes undocumented during absences
